"Do You Even Care?"

by Summer K. and London M.

The prices are rising, and Earth’s heating up.

Young people protesting ‘cause we know our stuff.

The fires are spreading, California is dying.

Classified info, the government is lying!

We were better off with a woman as president,

He will make us crumble, we just cannot handle it.

Billionaires flourish, the poor stay and suffer,

These people are begging, we just want an answer!

Maybe if these people just wouldn't litter,

All of these plants, we should've reconsidered.

They pollute the air, and we are not safe,

Before light pollution, we could stargaze!

You see these sad people, yearning looks in their gazes.

You’re destroying the Earth in front of their faces.

Please save the Earth, at least for your kids,

All of these people, they don't care for it!

Maybe if you took care of the world,

reduce, reuse, recycle, all of it.

If you do these things, the world will change,

You can wipe the frowns off of their face!

Maybe we’ll be able to stargaze again,

Standing with a friend, hand in hand.

You can make changes, if not for the world,

Still make a change, do it for yourself!

Change the world.
